An animation movie that I will never get tired by watching this, on the other hand, also a novel I have been searching high and low for. Actually, the original story is from an english novel, written by Diana Wynne Jones. But, due to its increasing fame, it also became a animation movie.
The story is about a normal girl named Sophie who just inherited his father's hat shop after his death. Sophie is a kind-hearted yet shy girl who is always denying her own feelings. Until then, she met a charming wizard named Howl. Howl is a notorious wizard who is said to feast on hearts of young and beautiful girls.
After being rescued by Howl, Sophie begs a differ, in her heart she knows Howl is a gentle person, just maybe he didn't show it to others for unknown reasons. Then one night, another character, the Witch of the Waste visits Sophie. The Witch of the Waste is actually a hundred-year-old witch who craves for Howl's heart and love. To get her revenge, she turns Sophie into a fat old lady, saying that Sophie will pass a message to her beloved Howl.
So, the journey begins. After locating Howl's moving castle, Sophie stayed and helped Howl with his house chores. Along that, she makes friends like a scare crow who seems to be under a spell, Calcifer the fire demon who is said to have Howl's heart and more. She learns that Howl is a heartless wizard and is now in danger. As both of them spend their time together, they fall in love. But, with the royal witch and the nation war in their way, love seems hard enough for the both of them.
Of Course, the story ends with a sastisfy and happy ending. Sophie was brave enough to find and restore Howl's heart. With her kind-hearted and honest personality, she gained everyone's trust and also love.
I like the ending most, especially the conversation between Sophie and Howl.
Howl: Sophie, what happened and what is this thing inside my chest?"
Sophie: Ha......well, a heart is a very heavy burden, you see?
It is true a heart is a heavy burden, but, without it, i believe our lives will never be the same......
